CANMT Trip: Roswell Part 3

We had planned on leaving Roswell first thing in the morning, but one of the things I really wanted to check out had closed at 5 the night before and didn't open until 10 in the morning. So we took our time that morning. We ate breakfast at the hotel, and while we were eating we heard about the tornadoes in the Denton, TX area. That's where our friends live, so we called to check on them. They were fine. Then we started getting calls from family to see if we were okay (they weren't sure where we were that day). Then I just had to mail some postcards in the R2D2 mailbox. We still had a little time before 10 so we went to the Roswell Museum and Art Center.
The tower Robert H. Goddard used to launch his rockets.

We were mostly interested in the recreation of his workshop. Rocky really enjoyed this.

We looked at a few more things, but Melodie wasn't really interested and I was ready to go to our next place.

Attached to the souvenir store is Area 51.

It's a little place where they have alien photo ops set up. It was a little ghetto and run down, but boy did we have fun! This was the first prop area, and probably my favorite.

But there were still a bunch more.

I think these are so fun!
