CANMT Trip: Denton

We left the Gamlens the next morning and made it to the Hunts house in Denton, TX without incident. For this to occur, the night before the Gamlens helped us figure out the best way to get to Denton on a Monday morning. We were finally understood that there was a 35 East North, 35 West South, 35 West North and 35 West South and why. We also found out how to avoid the construction. This time we relied on these instructions and not our useless-in-the-Dallas-area-GPS.
Stephanie thought it would be fun to go to downtown Denton for lunch. We all piled into the van (except Jeremy, who was at work) and arrived ready to explore. We looked around in a candy store and comic book store before going to Beth Marie's Ice Cream Soda Fountain for lunch.

Melodie, LJ and CJ
We had sandwiches for lunch, but the big excitement was the ice cream.
Melodie had Bubble Gum, I had Big Rig and Rocky had Big Rig and Banana. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what was in the Big Rig flavor, but it was good!
Now that the kids were full of sugar, we let them run around outside the courthouse (which actually isn't used as a courthouse anymore).

Our next activity was swimming in one of the indoor pools at the Nanatorium.

Poor little AJ (the youngest Hunt) was exhausted. Stephenie and I took turns sitting out with her while she slept. Melodie doesn't go swimming very often, so this was a very fun thing for her.
We still had a little time before Jeremy was off work, so we went to a playground while we waited to meet him for dinner.

We met Jeremy for dinner at Rudy's. More Texas BBQ! Rocky was especially thrilled. We loved the sausage so much we had to order more.

All the kids on a scale.
Time to put the kids to bed and we played Up & Down the River (a card came played with a deck of Rook cards).
