And then we stood on the corner.
I'm not sure why he has a blue scarf. By now, Melodie was excited every time she saw a Route 66 sign. I think it's because I kept taking pictures of them. So, when she saw this bench, she wanted a picture sitting on it.
We were ready for lunch, but there wasn't much that looked good (and was fast) in Winslow. We hoped to get something along the way to our next stop, but there wasn't anything. Luckily we had plenty of granola bars and fruit to tide us over. This was another 30 minute drive. When we arrived at the Meteor Crater Visitor Center we saw that there was a Subway inside. Lunch later (now we weren't hungry anymore)! We started by watching a movie about how the meteor crater was formed. Then we went outside to see the crater.
It was windy and we were high up. I didn't like it. Rocky and Melodie went onto the platform. I refused. Way too scary.
Not the most fun. I didn't spend much time out there before I decided seeing it from inside, through a window, was much better. We explored the museum a little then got Subway to eat in the car on the way to our last thing to see that day.
